WOW, I had no idea the language would happen so furiously and so swiftly. She seems to be learning 1-2 words per day now, and her entire vocabulary is up to 30 words. Today she said peacock for the first time. She is starting to pick up two syllable words like night night and peacock, and she can pick items out of a bunch of photos or objects, such as "where's the duck" and she'll point to or go get the duck. It blows me away. Today we went to the Bronx Zoo, which had some great children oriented exhibits, and she learned the word peacock and the word butterfly (but she didn't say butterfly, just peacock). She was able to point to the peacock and to the butterflies when asked. (more...)
