WOW, I had no idea the language would happen so furiously and so swiftly. She seems to be learning 1-2 words per day now, and her entire vocabulary is up to 30 words. Today she said peacock for the first time. She is starting to pick up two syllable words like night night and peacock, and she can pick items out of a bunch of photos or objects, such as "where's the duck" and she'll point to or go get the duck. It blows me away. Today we went to the Bronx Zoo, which had some great children oriented exhibits, and she learned the word peacock and the word butterfly (but she didn't say butterfly, just peacock). Dear Readers,

Sorry for the disappearing act, we have had a summer that precluded any posting due to its hectic and internet-free nature! We officially moved out of our apartment in mid-June, then entered into a series of sublets in Brooklyn and Manhattan. I barely checked email, since mostly I could only use my Treo, much less added any posts. In addition to moving around like Gypsies, we renovated our new house and moved in. Recently we have been unpacking boxes, which seems like a neverending chore. We still haven't finished our bedroom or the office, but finally the internet got hooked up and we're back online!
