Kate's language explosion continues. She's picked up "blueberry" ("buhboo"), and the sign for "more" (tapping clenched fingertips together), and constructed "more blueberries, please". (we hope she said please, but can't confirm.)
Yesterday she picked up "Raarrrr" (lion), "Woof" (dog), "Baaa" (sheep) and a couple of others. So when prompted with "what does the ____ say", she can always make you smile.
For the past three weeks or so, our daughter has been sleeping through the night like a champ, so I thought I should share my sleep solution. She is 14 months old, and previously had been waking up every three hours or so since birth. Even when she stopped breastfeeding at 7 months, she still wanted her bottle in the middle of the night, and it was always hunger. We were also cosleeping, and started putting her in her own room at 13 months.
Today Kate put a puzzle together all by herself! Her Aunt Sara gave her a wooden puzzle for her birthday which she had only been able to do with help until this morning. Today I spread out the pieces for her to occupy her for a second while I ran to the little girls room. When I returned, she had completed 4 of the 6 pieces in the right spots! She was so proud of herself!
