Disney’s Vero Beach Resort

Tuesday, May 27th, 2008

We spent the week at Disney's Vero Beach Resort, and left with mixed feelings about the place. On the one hand, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We had fun at the pool, enjoyed some tot activities (we had to pretend to be 3...more on that), and met lots of great families from all over the country. However, we were, as we have been at other Disney hotels, disappointed with the quality of the accommodations and the food.

Diaper Change

Thursday, May 22nd, 2008

Posted on the go:
This week we have been on vacation at Disney's Vero Beach Resort in Florida, and Isabel's language acquisition is going at full force. I taught her the sign for diaper change a few weeks ago, and this week she started saying both diaper and change. To top it off, she is now asking for a diaper change! At first I was skeptical, but every time she pops her little hands up and says diaper out of the blue, she has had a wet diaper, and she seems to light up when we give her a clean one. Could she be an early potty trainer like Kate? I hope so.

Rubber Baby, Bye Bye and Tumbling Class

Wednesday, May 7th, 2008

Today we found out that Isabel is actually made of rubber instead of bones. She is in her crawling/pulling up stage, and her actions today prove she is craftier than I thought. We had a long morning at tumbling class with Kate. On the way home, we stopped by Back to the Land to pick up Isabel's favorite baby food, and the girls both napped in the stroller. We didn't make it home until 2 pm, and I hadn't had anything to eat other than coffee and a peanut butter and banana yogurt smoothie. Needless to say I was feeling a bit light headed and dizzy, and I was starting to see distorted vision.
