First Tooth!

Saturday afternoon Isabel's first tooth made its presence known! It finally poked through, sharp as a razor! She is also determined to crawl and has the leg motions down. Unfortunately, she still hasn't coordinated her arms, so she falls on her face a lot. She tries downward dog, too, and she seems to want to just stand up and start walking. When she finally does get moving, it's backwards, so it has been a frustrating experience for her. Kate tells me, "Isabel is getting frust-er-ated," using her big girl words.

Boing Opens Today in South Slope

Recognizing the Park

I find it so interesting when Kate makes a cognitive leap, and this one I felt was huge. We were walking through Prospect Park, after having our lunch in the meadow. We decided to go to the 3rd St. Playground, a playground Kate had never visited. Kate was bouncing along in the stroller, no peeps at all, when we started down the hill that leads to the playground. She started giggling and squealing as soon as she saw the playground.

Swimming Lessons at the Prospect Park YMCA

Kate started swimming lessons today, and she had such a great time! She was giggling within the first five minutes that she was in the water, which was quite warm and comfy, I might add. I was a little skeptical about being in a class with older kids (up to three) but she really seemed to get a lot out of it, and the older kids, while more advanced, did not seem to get in her way.
